Didi Dog Pet Boutique was founded by Sonia and her dog Didi in early 2005. We’re located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, at 248 Bowery Sreet. (2nd floor), in NYC.
Our story begins on a small farm in Taiwan, where Sonia’s family adopted 11 abandoned dogs. While growing up with so many dogs, Sonia saw that they would be cold and shiver in the winter. So she and her brother used old T-shirts and resow them into clothing for dogs. That was a time when dog clothing didn't even exist. Now that there is clothing of all shapes and sizes for dogs to wear, they can travel with more ease and live in a variety of climates. Dog’s are not only dressed for warmth, but for fashion too!
Sonia’s main concern is a dog’s comfort in the clothes she carries. She visits the manufacturers frequently to ensure the quality of her products. She designs and re-designs many items for safety and function too. Sonia understands she must take extra care in designing products that loving dog owners will trust for everyday use on their pets.
